Job Summary:
Information Technology (IT) Support is responsible for assisting in ensuring the streamlined operation set forth by the Vice President – IT and the Chief Operations Officer is in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. IT Support is also responsible for the Vice President for providing technical support and troubleshooting for the bank’s computer systems, software applications, and network infrastructure. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT systems, assists employees with technology-related issues, and helps maintain cybersecurity and compliance standards. Additionally, the IT Support will coordinate with the bank’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) to escalate complex technical issues and assist in managing IT services.
Essential Job Functions:
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting
o Support activities in the IT department for seamless operation and reliability of all IT systems, infrastructure, and services.
o Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
o Assist with the setup and maintenance of workstations, printers, telecommunications, and other peripherals.
o Provide first-line support for Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).
o Escalate unresolved issues to the MSP and follow up on resolution progress.
o Document and track technical support requests to ensure timely resolution.
• System Administration & Maintenance
o Assist in maintaining the bank’s IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
o Work closely with the MSP to monitor system performance, security, and software updates.
o Manage user accounts, passwords, and access controls in coordination with the MSP.
o Assist in implementing new IT solutions and projects in collaboration with MSP.
• Banking Software & Application Support
o Support core banking applications and troubleshoot user issues.
o Assist with the implementation and upgrades of banking software.
o Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to resolve application-related problems.
• Security & Compliance
o Ensure IT security best practices are followed to protect sensitive customers and financial data.
o Assist in cybersecurity monitoring, including email security, endpoint protection, and firewall management.
o Support IT audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
o Attend and participate in the bank’s IT Committee.
o Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures and regulatory compliance.
• IT Projects & Training
o Assist with IT projects such as system migrations, new software rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades.
o Work with the MSP to implement IT strategies aligned with the bank’s needs.
o Provide training and guidance to bank staff on IT best practices and security awareness.
Education & Job Qualifications:
• Associate degree along with 2-3 years’ computer experience in banking; preferred.
• Work-related experience should consist of an operational and/or technical background in data processing, products, or services.
• Intermediate skills in data processing and information technology operations, voice and data communications, database management, troubleshooting techniques, user, and software support; including but not limited to, mainframe, host and desktop applications and network administrative programs and resources.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
• Understanding banking software is a plus.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
Strong critical thinking skills and customer service mindset.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Other Desired Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus.
