Safe Deposit Boxes

Enjoy the security of knowing your valuables are safe and secure by storing them in an FLB safe deposit box. 

Boxes are available in various sizes, so you can select the size that best fits your needs. Examples of items that are frequently stored in boxes include:

• Jewelry
• Small heirloom items
• Valuable coins
• Original documents, such as birth certificates, marriage licenses, and military discharge papers; keep copies in a safe place at home
• Paper stocks and bonds
• Deeds and titles
• Copies (not originals) of your will, durable power of attorney, and living will
• An inventory of your household items–both a written list and video, stored on a thumb drive

These things should NOT be kept in your safe deposit box:

• Your original will, durable power of attorney and living will
• Passport
• Drivers license
• Large amounts of cash
• Anything illegal
• Anything you might need to access at short notice when the bank is closed

Please note that safe deposit box contents are not included in your account's FDIC insurance. So in the remote chance the box were to be destroyed by fire, flood or natural disaster, you should have the contents sufficiently insured through your homeowner's insurance policy.
